30 Minutes with Tomb Raider II

My first thought when revisiting Tomb Raider II was “how on earth did this game sell 8 million+ copies?” After a brief, wordless, opening cinematic, you’re dropped into a cave with absolutely no direction whatsoever. After wandering around for a minute, you’re attacked by a tiger(?) and if you’re anything like me, you fumble with the controls for 30 seconds until you finally pull out your guns and take down the beast (losing three quarters of your life bar in the process). However, the real palm-sweating doesn’t start until you begin trying to climb out of the cave.
