First off, let’s get one thing out of the way: 007 Racing is not a racing game. While a Mario Kart-style romp featuring 007 trying to reach the checkered flag before Jaws, Dr. No, and Alec Trevelyan sounds kinda like the coolest thing ever, that’s not what this game is. 007 Racing is a series of multi-step missions, not unlike previous 007 games, but here Bond is always behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Electronic Arts PS1 catalog from 1995
I recently purchased a copy of Bullfrog’s Hi-Octane (The Track Fights Back!!) and it included this EA catalog. While I don’t believe EA had any titles at the PlayStation’s September North American launch, it seems they released their first game on the platform (PGA Golf 96) later that month (FIFA 96 and Viewpoint would follow in November). While this catalog is neat just as EA’s statement of commitment to the platform, what makes it more interesting is that three of the games in here never actually saw release on the PlayStation. Madden 96, NHL 96, and Prowler are showcased here, but were never released. Madden and NHL wouldn’t get PS1 versions until their “97” editions, and Prowler would never see the light of day on any platform. Interesting stuff!
Anyway, I scanned the entire catalog here. Enjoy!
